Harrison Cave is one of Barbados’ greatest wonders!!  This magnificent cave is located in the central uplands of the island.  This crystalized, limestone cave is characterized by flowing stream, deep pools of crystal clear water and towering columns.  The beauty of the white flow stones and   he speleothems adorn the cave creating an unbelievable sight.

Harrisons Cave derived its name from the prominent land owner, Thomas Harrison, back in the 1700’s and in 1981 the cave was officially opened to the public.

The Boyce Tunnel, named after equipment operator Noel Boyce who broke ground to open the cave’s natural passageways, leads to the entrance of the cave. Beyond this point, Harrison’s Cave is a massive stream cave system that is at least 2.3 kilometres long. Interior temperature is an average 27 degrees Celsius and its largest cavern, the Great Hall measures 15 metres high.
